Let me begin by introducing myself. I am Jon G. Stephenson, proprietor of JaiGieEse PhotoGraphics.
I'll take just a moment to ahed some light on my shop name..That first word is sort of a phonetic play on my initials - JGS. So, you pronounce my shop name as if you were just saying my initials - as in, "JGS PhotoGraphics."
Now, before we go any further, please allow me to point out that I tend to look at life through a different window than do most of you. I'd describe my work is "unique," or perhaps, "eclectic." But then, as Barney Fife would say, I could well just be two bubbles off plumb. But that's for you to decide - by having a look at my work. Go ahead. Get started, like, um, right now?
I offer prints in varying sizes on on a nice selection of premium media - which is to say, paper types. You're likely to notice that many of my images are available in what appear to be odd sizes. Y'see, I don't care to be boxed into standard anything. I generally compose in-camera but, often as not, I sometimes crop my images during post-processing to create a unique point-of-view. And so, I offer custom prints in sizes in appropriate proportion to suit each image - hence the unusual size offerings.
But, now, if you discover an image that you'd like printed in a size other than my listed sizes, well, then drop me a note via my CONTACT page, & I'll fix you right up.
Well, no, actually. There's the wall art - my fine art prints - of course, and then there's my writing. You'll find some printed offerings on the BOOKS page.
My selections include nice, slick, table-top photo books, bound editions of carefully-restored family heirloom photographs, souvenir & memory books ( I worked up one for my high school class reunion. I can do the same for you and your class.), and, of course, there are my novels, which will appear upon publication.
You'll find all that by tapping on the BOOKS link up there in the toolbar you'll find at the top of each page.. Oh, and BTW, - do make note of that last item on the page-top toolbar. ODDMENTS it is. It's sort of a digital garage sale. What's in there? Well, what's in there is - what's in there - each time you have a look. It changes, you understand.,
Just click on the thumbnail for any image which catches your eye, on the PORTFOLIO page, any COLLECTION page, or choose one of the several feature and sale items you'll find on our HOME PAGE and you'll be taken to the associated product page, from which you can select print size and media.
Add those to your cart, and when you're done shopping, Click "Check Out" and you'll be beamed over to your shopping cart, wherein you'll be able to enter your billing and shipping information, and then, you'll specify a payment type - I offer several - and so on.
Click "Buy" and shortly, you'll receive a confirmation email. This will be followed by a second email when your purchase has shipped. One of these emails will contain a tracking number.
Oh, yes. Simply hover your mouse over "COLLECTIONS" on the page-top tool bar and choose "ROYALTY FREE LICENSES" from the drop-down menu. Make your selections and proceed to check-out.
Once you've made your payment, I'll send you an email with a link from which you can download your digital purchase. The details of the licensing agreement are to be found in Section 21 of the "Terms of Service,." And you'll find a handy link to those terms on the left-hand side of the footer on each page, as well as near the bottom of the check-out pages.
I manufacture my prints with an Epson SureColor P800 wide-format ink-jet printer. The P800 uses Epson's UltraChrome HD ink set - as Epson describes it, "Representing our next generation of photographic ink technology, the nine-color Epson UltraChrome HD ink set resets the standard for photographic imaging excellence.
Utilizing newly developed core pigments - including a new Photo Black pigment 1.5x denser than our previous generation - the level of photographic clarity, optical density, and vibrancy represents a new benchmark for Epson.
"Prints made with the UltraChrome HD pigment inks are expected to have Album and Dark Storage Permanence Ratings well in excess of 200 years; the prints exhibit high resistance to atmospheric ozone; have very good water-resistance properties; and, the pigment images are extremely resistant to damage caused by storage or display in high-humidity environments."
I employ five types of premium papers from Red River Paper, as follows:
68 lb. UltraPro Gloss 2.0 looks and feels just like traditional photo lab paper. UltraPro is a resin coated, photo-base inkjet paper with a brilliant white finish. Bright white papers are particularly good at reproducing deep blacks and higher contrast. You will see a wider color gamut as well as smoother tonal transitions. Your black & white photos will be neutral and crisp.
68 lb. UltraPro Satin 4.0 is textured to a medium depth - just the right amount to enhance your prints without being a distraction. The big news is that UltraPro Satin is now a brilliant bold white. Bright white papers are particularly good at reproducing deep blacks and higher contrast.
60 lb. Polar Matte single-sided raises the bar for imaging excellence. This paper brings you professional quality in every sense of the meaning - from the coating to the base stock, Polar Matte is the go-to photo matte when you want the best. Polar Matte features a beautiful soft white printing surface with outstanding ink holdout capabilities. Polar Matte is totally acid-free and its heavy 60 lb.weight makes it desirable for all high-quality photo imaging.
These next two selections are basically specialty papers, and therefore, they are just slightly more expensive than are my other media choices. But not by much!
66 lb. Polar Pearl Metallic is a truly unique inkjet paper that closely matches the look of photo lab metallic prints. Polar Pearl Metallic features a high gloss finish and a pearlescent base stock that yields an elegant iridescence in your images.
64 lb. Aurora Fine Art Natural - Made using refined 100% cotton, this paper brings elegance, warmth, and nuance to your photography and art prints. This acid-free paper features a pleasing natural white tone and semi-smooth surface. Plus, Aurora Art Natural contains no optical brigh
